The legendary Turkish bellydance troupe Fire of Anatolia started its world tour in 2002 and has since then toured over 85 countries and been seen by over 20 million people. The show isn’t ‘strickly bellydance’ as there are over 20 dance styles including folk, ballet, tap, waltz, and of course belly dancing.
It includes dances and music from different regions in the country, drawing from Anatolia’s ancient myths and culture. With numbers produced by one of Turkey’s most famous choreographers Mustafa Erdogan, Fire of Anatolia is respected as one of the worlds dance troupes.
Having performed before an audience of 400,000 it holds the world record for the largest audience, and the record for the fastest dance performance with 241 steps per minute.
